Man so driven by films and strong role in the festival this year and in the spirit of the opening film, we are profiling some of the most kick-ass women representing at SXSW this week. First: Barry Munday and Mr. Nice-star Chloe Sevigny.
Chloe Sevigny has been a staple of the indie scene since his first film Kids Larry Clark, one of a handful of young actresses whose career consists of a constant challenge and documents of some critical errors. He has worked with a litany of modern authors day (including Werner Herzog, Harmony Korine, Woody Allen, David Fincher, and Lars von Trier), and stars in unorthodox HBO drama Big Love. Naturally, it is in the top Sevigny our list of brave and courageous women representing the slate of this year's SXSW.
Cinematical Sevigny came the day after Barry Munday, the first of his two films at the festival, debuted. (His second movie, Mr. Nice, was released the next day.) Barry Munday, written and directed by Chris D'Arienzo Rock (Broadway of age), is the story of a nice group verifiable portable shower (Patrick Wilson), only really becomes a man when he loses his testicles in a horrible incident Sevigny and Judy Greer as a star of two completely opposite sisters who participate in the life of Barry. At the premiere at the Paramount Theater in Austin for SXSW sanctioned take is probably the perfect place to debut off the wall comedy, which features a memorable scene involving Sevigny, a strip club, and choir classic Whitesnake " Here I Go Again On My Own ".
